Withdraw order appointing Venkata Narayana as Special Representative of Tamil Nadu in Delhi: Premallatha

DMDK general secretary Premallatha Vijayakant, on Sunday (June 29, 2026), questioned why film producer Venkata Narayana, “who is not even from Tamil Nadu”, was appointed as the Special Representative of Tamil Nadu in New Delhi, when there were other qualified persons. She urged the State government and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay to withdraw the appointment.

Addressing the controversy over the viral video in which Minister Sarathkumar was seen performing actions similar to preparations for snorting drugs, Ms. Premallatha said if this was indeed true, it was highly condemnable.

She also criticised the TVK cadre for interfering in the functioning of schools and encouraging students to sing “movie songs”.
