CM to review progress of works in Belagavi today

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan, Police Commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulabrao and other officers on Wednesday reviewing preparations at Belagavi Airport at Sambra for the Chief Minister’s scheduled visit on Thursday.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will visit Belagavi on Thursday. This will be his first visit after becoming the Chief Minister.

He will chair a progress review meeting of various departments under the jurisdiction of Belagavi Regional Division. Senior officers of all the seven districts of Kittur Karnataka will participate.

He will arrive from Bengaluru by a special flight and land at Sambra Airport at 10.10 a.m. He will reach Suvarna Soudha and participate in the progress review meeting by 10.30 a.m.

Representatives of the South Indian Sugar Mills Association will meet him at the Suvarna Soudha at 4 p.m.

Mr. Shivakumar will visit the District Congress Committee office and speak to party workers at 6 p.m.

He will stay in Belagavi and leave for Bengaluru by a special flight on Friday at 9.30 a.m.

They visited the airport at Sambra. Congress MLC Channaraj Hattiholi and others were present.
