Bullet-riddled bodies of six abducted labourers found in Pakistan’s Balochistan

The bullet-riddled bodies of six labourers, who were abducted two days ago from Balochistan in Pakistan, were found on Thursday (July 30, 2026), the province’s Home Minister said.

Four of the labourers belonged to Pakistan’s Punjab province, and two to the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Balochistan Home Minister Babar Yousufzai said.

Their bullet-riddled bodies were found near Nasirabad in Turbat town of Kalatak area in Kech district of the Balochistan province.

“Unidentified armed men had abducted seven labourers who were working in the Kech district. One of them was shot on the spot,” the Minister said.

The unidentified armed men had blocked the Turbat-Mand road in the Kalatak area on Tuesday (July 28, 2026) and abducted the seven labourers travelling in a vehicle, Dawn newspaper said.

No insurgent group has claimed responsibility for the abduction.

Abduction of workers, labourers who belong from outside Balochistan occurs frequently in the restive province. In the last few years, there have been many cases of workers and labourers being killed at their sites or in their homes or after being abducted.

A few days back, two workers of a courier company were abducted from a highway in Mastu. There is still no news about their well-being, officials said.
