Four relief camps remain open in Kasaragod

Four of the eight relief camps opened in Kasaragod district following floods and landslips have been closed as the situation improves. The remaining four camps continue to function in Vellarikundu taluk.

A total of 155 people from 43 families are currently staying in the four relief camps. The camps are located in Palavayal and Kallar villages.

The camps that have been closed are those at Chathamath Temple Auditorium, Klayikkode Nayanar Mandiram, and GLPS Vellatt in Hosdurg taluk, as well as the Desasevani Vayanasala camp in Vellarikundu taluk.
