Passengers travelling to Bengaluru on Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) can now avail a free ride on a Pushpak Bus up to Shamshabad before the onward journey.
Instead of travelling to MGBS, passengers can use the Pushpak service’s AC (Jubilee Bus Station to RGIA), AJ (Miyapur to RGIA) and AK (Lingampally to RGIA) routes as feeder buses to reach Shamshabad. It is from here that they can board their reserved Bengaluru-bound bus service, thereby avoiding the congested journey to MGBS. This is valid only for buses that leave after 6 p.m.
The State-run transport undertaking said the initiative is intended to provide a more seamless travel experience by integrating its city airport services with long-distance operations. Passengers will have to choose “Shamshabad (Opp. RGIA Traffic Police Station)” as their boarding point when making the reservation to be eligible for free travel.
Passengers need to produce their valid Bengaluru reservation ticket while boarding the Pushpak feeder bus to avail the complimentary ride to Shamshabad. The facility is valid only on the date of travel mentioned on the reservation ticket.
The transport juggernaut noted that passengers in and around Miyapur, Nizampet, JNTU, Gachibowli, Hafeezpet and some other localities typically usually had to reach MGBS braving the rush hour and often spending about two hours travelling to the bus station. The move, TGSRTC said, could put an end to this inconvenience.
