Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met FBI Director Kash Patel in Washington and discussed issues such as combating counterterrorism financing and cyber investigations.
The FBI Director, during his meeting with Mr. Naqvi on Monday (July 13, 2026), also appreciated Pakistan’s support in protecting U.S. interests in the region.
In a post on X, Mr. Patel said it was “an honour” to host Mr. Naqvi at the FBI headquarters in Washington.
“…the @FBI deeply appreciates their (Pakistan’s) support as we protect US interests in the region,” Mr. Patel said.
“Important discussion surrounding facilitating resources and specialised training to combat counterterrorism financing and cyber investigations both at home and abroad,” he said.
Mr. Patel said the U.S.-Pakistan partnership is critical and the two sides look forward to more success ahead.
Mr. Naqvi was in the U.S. to attend the Fifth United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS 2026) in New York on July 7 and 8.
