Pakistan says it carried out ground operation, strikes along Afghan border; 29 militants killed

Pakistan announced that its security forces have carried out an intelligence-based ground operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, followed by “calibrated strikes” against terrorist hideouts and safe havens in the border region, killing 29 militants.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar ‌said on ​social media platform X the ⁠action was launched ‌in response to multiple militant attacks across the country, ‌the report ​said.

There was no immediate comment from Kabul.
