The West Bengal Council of Ministers now features a total strength of 41 members under the leadership of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. Following a decisive victory in the 2026 State Assembly elections, the first phase of cabinet was inducted on May 9, 2026, when Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and five senior BJP legislators were sworn into office.
To form a full-fledged administration, a major Cabinet expansion took place on June 1, 2026, when Governor R. N. Ravi administered the oath of office to 35 new ministers at Lok Bhavan in Kolkata.
