GTECH promises platform to redeploy employees hit by CorroHealth lay-offs

The Group of Technology Companies of Kerala (GTECH) on Tuesday (July 14) came out in support of the employees affected by the mass lay-off at CorroHealth, a US-based healthcare analytics technology company.

The industrial forum promised to facilitate the redeployment of the affected employees in collaboration with the State government. The leaders of GTECH made the proposal at a meeting held with Minister for Industries & IT, P. K. Kunhalikutty, to discuss the lay-off situation in Thiruvananthapuram.

The forum said a platform will be created to collect resumes of the affected employees, and member companies can identify suitable candidates based on their current openings.

“GTECH and the government are committed to working together to support both the affected employees and Kerala’s IT ecosystem during these challenges,” said GTECH.

Around 800 employees of CorroHealth from its Kochi and Kozhikode offices were terminated recently without prior notice.

Sambasiva Rao, IT secretary, and GTECH office-bearers, including its chairman Jijo John, attended the meet.
